Can PIP Insurance Pennies Be Turned Into Dollars?
https://lawyerfightsforyou.com/ (Orlando, Florida) (Winter Haven, Florida) law firm Bloodworth Law handles Personal Injury Protection Litigation.
Attorney and partner Alyson M. Laderman explains in this video that sometimes she's asked, "why bother chasing the pennies?"
Her answer is that a lot of PIP insurance litigation feels like you're chasing pennies. But the reality is that those pennies can turn into dollars, which can turn into hundred of dollars, and can turn into thousands of dollars.
For example, imagine the little jar in your kitchen, and every day you take the coins out of your purse or your wallet, and you put them into the jar. Every day you do this, just a few pennies here, and a few pennies there.
And by the end of the month, you might have anywhere between $50 to several hundred dollars, depending on how many pennies are recovered. PIP is the same idea.
So with one of our medical doctors, in particular, we had found a very nuanced specific new legal issue with the time. And just on that issue, which was for a mere three codes of treatment, where two percent had been siphoned off, in a year-and-a-half, we recovered $90,000 in pennies for that doctor.
You don't know how it adds up until it does. And you don't know what you've lost until you've gotten it back.
